Weslaco ISD Schools of Choice

Weslaco ISD has partnered with South Texas College to offer different opportunities to our students. Schools of Choice are schools within a school or stand-alone schools that provide unique learning opportunities for students seeking a non-traditional educational experience. At Weslaco ISD Schools of Choice, our vision is to produce highly motivated students that have an equal opportunity to earn an Associate's Degree and pursue higher education. We want those students to become independent learners, contributing citizens, and well-rounded leaders.

We invite you to explore the ECHS & Programs of Choice website to discover the many facets of educational opportunities available within WISD schools. Whether your child's dream is to become a doctor or a dancer, a welder or a mechanic, Weslaco ISD is here to support that dream through innovation and choice in educational offerings.

The Choice is YOURS!

Ultimately Weslaco ISD embraces the unique interests of every child and strives to provide a variety of educational experiences to choose from.

*Students participating in an ECHS program will need to attend the school that they are zoned to. If the program is not available at their assigned school, then they will need to submit a request for transfer to the campus principal.

The online application will be open from Saturday, January 29, 2022, to February 11, 2022. Staff will review all applications and select students by the end of March.
