Mental Health Awareness Month

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, Student Support Services is actively implementing a Districtwide initiative focused on promoting Mental Wellness and Support across each of the campuses. This effort includes:

  • Displaying Mental Health Awareness Signs all across the Campuses
  • Having students Pledge to "Break the Stigma" of Mental Health by signing a Mental Health Banner.
  • Increasing outreach to students through Informational materials
  • Encouraging open conversations about Mental Health.
  • Organizing a variety of activities that meet each Campus' individual needs (such as the Ice bucket challenge, Encouraging Staff and Students to wear Green, Power-up and Play Game day, Wellness Walks, Stress-relief Sessions).

Student Support Services continues to ensure students feel supported and heard by offering resources, one-on-one availability, and guidance tailored to individual needs. This initiative underscores the District’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
