Mrs. Veronica Rivas

Mrs. Veronica Rivas earned an associates and a bachelors degree in Social Work. She graduated with honors from UTRGV and was a member of The Social Work Student Association. She worked as a substitute teacher for WISD for 8 years and had the privilege of working for WISD’s Science Camps. Mrs. Rivas has more than 15 years of experience working with students and is extremely excited to take on her role as the ACE Coordinator for Margo Elementary.

Mr. Heraldo Gonzalez

Hello my name is Heraldo Gonzalez III and I am the ACE Coordinator at North Bridge Elementary. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2015 at the University of Texas at El Paso. Go Miners! I spent 6 years working in the Special Education Department at P.S.J.A. ISD. I am now excited to start my second year with Weslaco ISD in the ACE Program. Here at North Bridge Elementary, I look forward to providing fun and interesting activities that will help students develop 21st Century skills to succeed in life.

Mrs. Elizabeth Cano

I am a 1991 graduate from Harlingen High School. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas Pan American in 2011. I have been employed with the Weslaco Independent School District for the past 12 years. I love to dedicate my spare time to my family and church when time permits. I am currently and ACE Site Coordinator at Cleckler-Heald Elementary and I look forward in coming to work to make a difference in children’s lives within the hopes of producing Innovative leaders for our community.

Mrs. Norma Peña

Norma A. Peña graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School and owned and operated her own private postal center. With encouragement from family and friends, Norma sold her business and pursued a college education. She studied at South Texas College and at the University of Texas Pan American. In her free time, Norma enjoys listening to classic rock and cruising in her classic Trans Am. She's energetic, creative and enjoys working with students from a variety of backgrounds. Norma believes all students can succeed!
