Superintendent/Board
The Superintendent and School Board work together as a ‘team of eight’ to ensure the school district runs efficiently and effectively. These seven individuals represent our community and bring valuable real-world experience to the district. The school board serves to oversee school policy and budget.

Weslaco ISD maintains sound financial practices in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Schools
WISD is made up of 20 schools, 11 elementary campuses, four middle schools, and four high schools. All of our campuses are equipped with all the learning tools necessary for our students to have a rich and high-quality learning school year. With many extracurricular activities to choose from, our students get to experience a “complete” education.

This page supports the

launch of blended learning through the Innovative Teaching Day site, and then
provides ongoing support through the Crafting the Student Experience site.

Blended Learning:

1. Uses online learning to enhance student choice in time, place, pace, or path of instruction.

2. Takes place at school (some or all of the time).

3. Delivers content online and offline toward a determined standard(s) for an integrated learning experience.

This year's Innovative Teaching Day focuses on increasing student engagement and accelerating instruction that supports unfinished learning.

Three strategies will guide Innovative Teaching to address the two areas of concern:
