In an effort to ensure that learning continues in the weeks after Spring Break, below is a summarized list of activities your child can work on to stay up-to-date. Your child’s teacher may also send additional activities to stay on-track, but please make your best efforts to help your child complete the activities below. Internet for Learning Options

We realize that Internet access is very important to keep our students connects with their schools during this school closure period. We are here to help. Below is a list of options for gaining access to the internet.

WISD Instructional Technology

Spectrum

Spectrum is offering free access to any of their WIFI hotspots. There are many Spectrum WiFi locations in Weslaco. See the list by searching at this site: https://www.spectrum.com/wifi-hotspots.
They will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
Spectrum Internet Assist Spectrum will offer a Free Internet modem, high-speed Internet at 30 Mbps., no data caps, no contracts, optional in-home Wi-Fi service at $5/mo. To enroll, complete the application and submit required documentation. One or more members of your household must be a recipient of one of the following assistance programs:
- National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
- Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the NSLP
- Supplemental Security Income (for applicants age 65+ only)

Sprint

Sprint isn't offering any home internet access but they offering their customers

Providing Unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans
Giving 20 GB of free mobile hotspot to customers with hotspot-capable devices
You must call your cell phone provider and let them know you have children in school. You will get a free 10 gigs of hotspot data feature on your phone every month.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile isn't offering any home internet access but they offering their customers

Current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers have unlimited smartphone data for the next 60 days.
T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot/tethering service for the next 60 days
Lifeline partners customers get free data up to 5GB per month over the next two months.
You must call your cell phone provider and let them know you have children in school. You will get a free 10 gigs of hotspot data feature on your phone every month.

Verizon

Verizon isn't offering any home internet access but they offering their customers

Providing Unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans
